| We met when you notice my 73 collar brass. You told me how you use to make great on and off collars in the 73 The next day (less than 24hrs after I met you) I heard on the radio that off duty cop in the 73 pct was killed. When I got to the 73 they told me the name of the PO and realized it was you. Man what a shock. You were a cops cop and died doing your job. Rest In Peace! | ||||

| I just found this page and I'm so glad I did. Jim (Jimbo) was a very close friend and we worked together for about 5 years with Western Electric Co. I remember when Jim wanted to be a NYC Police Officer and when he finally got the call to attend the academy. I left NY in 75 and would call Jim every so often. He was the kind of friend that if I called Him or he me anytime anywhere, we would go to the aid of the other. We talked about many things and I felt I knew him like a brother. One of the saddest days in my life was when I found out, by calling and his father answered, me thinking it was Jim because they had the same last name, only to be told he had passed away some time ago. It brings good and bad memories to find this page today. good because he was such a good friend and bad because of the lost I know many feel because he knew everyone it seems. There were no strangers to Jim. Anyway I still remember him as a friend and to his family, his wife and daughters and all those in his family I do not know, He was a very close friend and a good guy. E will always be remembered by me. George Barner | ||||
