I was former NYPD before I changed careers to Nassau County Corrections. While I've never met Scott, I can say his brother Jeff keeps his spirit alive and well. May God bless them both.

I was an active Police Officer when Scott Gadell was killed. I recall the incident quite well and even though I have never met him personally, feel I know him through the eyes of his dear friend Roosevelt Divine, whom i had the pleasure of working with in Manhattan South Narcotics. Most recently I have befriended Scott's younger brother Jeff who expresses an undying effort to keep his brother's memory alive and assist other families of Police Officers who gave their lives in the Line Of Duty. May God Bless The Gadell Family for their loyalty to brother Officers and may Scott rest in peace.......

I knew Scott, as a member of the 300th Medical Det, Army Reserve. He lived almost around the corner from the drill the base in Bellmore, L.I. He joined the unit when he was a young NYP Housing cop. He was a young and happy go lucky kid, brought his motorcycle to unit a couple of times. He was so happy to transfer to NYPD. He was assigned to 101st Pct, Far Rockaway. I drove a bus from Long Beach to Far Rockaway, and he on a couple of occasions see me driving and pull me over to say Hi. I shared many hours at drills with him, for some reason I was thinking of him and checked his name out on google; Just wanted to honor him with his rememberance, with a note and a tear. Gone but not forgotten, Shalom

I met Scott 2 days before his death. We were both at Peninsulla General with EDP's or prisioners. I can't remember which. But we spent a few hours together. That should have been the start of a long friendship. I was working a 4X12 and was shocked to get the news. You are gone but not forgotten. God Bless you Scott.
