I didn't know Michael Reidy personally , but I worked on the apprehension of his killer. I would like to give merit for the people who did such a fine job. Det.Michael Kelly (RIP) and Det.Gus Lopez who led the investigation and apprehension. PO. Artie Hastings who broke the case, and ADA Risa Sugarman for successfully prosecuting it. From what I learned about Michael Reidy, he was a fine young man and a good cop. He can rest assured that the Finest of the Finest brought his murderer to justice.

I worked with Michael in NSU #7 in 1986. He was a little older than most of the other guys so we looked up to him for guidence. His sense of humor helped us ease into a difficult job. May God bless his soul and his family.

I worked with Mike in NSU #7 in 1986. He was a great friend and fine Officer. He always let you known his true feelings. Its a shame that he lost his life so young. We had great times during and after work. He was a real cops cop. I miss him dearly. God Bless Him and his Family.

Mike, you will never be forgotten by those that knew you. You truly became an angel looking out for many of us since your passing. May your family be comforted with the thought that you touched many lives, even though your time here, with us, was brief.

I worked in NYPD in NSU 7 in the South Bronx in 1987 with PO Harry Schott and heard about Mike's shooting. Anytime a fellow Officer is killed I remember all the funerals I've attended. It never gets any easier. You never get used to it. I've lost alot of friends in NYPD. Rest in peace my brother Officers.

Mike was a good friend of mine. I know someone had written a book and his last capture was mike reidy's killer. Never knew what the name of the book was. Saw it in the reader's digest quite a few years ago. would like to get a copy. or at least the name of it and where to get it.
