My great grandparents are buried in Ferncliff Cemetery in Ardsley, NY. I never met them, but I try to go twice a year to pay my respects; I have been going up there since I was a little girl. I was there this past Sunday when my children came upon Ptl. Black's grave while walking a row over. I had never noticed his tombstone before, but we searched his name online and saw that he was a line of duty death. We were very touched and left flowers on the grave. Thank you for your service. We will stop by whenever we go see my great-grandparents.

As the 69th Anniversary of your death approaches I am conflicted by the pride I feel for your heroism and the loss I feel at never knowing you my sweet father. I love you so.
