I live 2 blocks from the family and was quite small when this tragedy occured. Mr. Schmiemann would be quite proud to see how his family turned out. God Bless.

My Dad, PTL. Charles Fogarty Sr., was good friends with Hank, I was introduced to him as a kid, we used to get together and watch Ranger hockey games with him and his sons. My Dad is now 77 and is still talking about his dear fallen freind. He was a great man, member of a great family, and was truly a hero.

I was a neighbor and family friend of Mr. Schmeimann. I remember when it happened, although I was only 8 at the time, it was such a tragedy, especially for his children. What a great loss. His family is thriving and I recently visited the old neighborhood and was fortunate enough to see and speak to his son Paul. He was a wonderful man and even as a young child I always felt he was a kind soul and his life was cut so short. Very sad this world lost a man like that.

I went to gradeschool with his sons Peter, Tommy and Matt, all great guys. I did not understand fully what happened that day. I was in 8th or 9th grade when it happened. May he rest in peace. Bob McCluskey
