It was a sad day when Bobby left us, but he will always be remembered for his great personality, funny ,respectful, and knew how to handle the "job". Bobby was always ready to lend a hand and to help out when need. Working with Bobby was a pleasure and you could always count on him to watch your back. You could always find him with a coffee cup in his hand and a smile on his face. It was an honor and a pleasure to know and work with him. This city and Departmnet lost one of the BEST!!!!!! You will be missed by all and may god bless you up in heaven because i know thats where you landed.

It's been over four years and I still can't believe it. Bobby was a good friend and mentor to a rookie cop who shared part of his beat when he was in cpop. I moved on and would bump into him time to time and we would joke and laugh. The last time I saw Bobby was three weeks before that fateful morning. I just wanted to say I'll never forget you Bobby and god bless. You are in a better place now.

Dear Bobby, I miss seeing you at work, you just seemed to always be there. I make a point to tell the "new Jacks" about you and Moira. Not everyone can be so lucky as to have known you. It might sound strange, but sometimes I wonder if something were to happen to me, would I have touched as many lives as you did. You were one of the greatest police officers the 13th has ever seen. I miss you. May your family always be safe.

Robert and I would always talk about our Harleys in the locker room. Only Robert put a wrench on his Harley. He was a master mechanic on Harleys. He spoke of opening a motorcycle repair shop after he retired. He didn't have long to go. He was always friendly and helpful. He had a calming effect on people in the streets. Rest in peace my Brother. I miss you. Go with God, P.O. Richard Mangogna - 13th Pct ( Ret ) NYPD
