I worked with Abe in the 1st squad in SCU under the guides of Lt. Joe Baner and Sgt. Dick Savage. What a great guy! The funniest thing I ever saw was Abe doing a decoy as a drunk in a Times Square phone booth spitting out a cold can of "cream of chicken" soup, making like he was puking. It almost fooled me and I was his back-up!!!!! RIP Abe. One day we'll share a scotch together again with Tim Hurley.

In the 1970's my house was broken into and my wife was held at kife point and robbed. The subjects left my house and stole my car and fled to New York where Detective Walton observed the car and pursued it pulling it over and arresting the actor inside. The subject was extradited to N.J. and finally tried for the acts he was charged with and without Det Walton testifing at his trial which he came over on his own time a conviction would have been hard to get. I am a retired Police Sgt. and was very upset seeing he was killed in the line of duty and I never knew of it till now. He was an amazing man and a role model for all Police officers. My sympathies go out to his family and to all who knew him.
